Audition Video
To prepare your audition video, please note the following guidelines:
- Acceptable video file formats are MP4 (MPEG-4) and MOV.
- Use a phone camera or dedicated video camera to record your scale and piece in one video segment. If you use an iPhone to shoot your video, please go to Settings -> Camera -> Formats to set the format to “Most Compatible” before you shoot your video.
- Use the camera in landscape orientation. (Turn your phone sideways.)
- Please use either a tripod or other means of holding the camera steady.
- Place your camera so that it clearly shows your face and both of your arms as you play, and be sure that your music stand does not block this view.
- Do a test video to be sure lighting is good and the sound is working.
- Please state your name before playing and the piece or etude you will be playing.
- For best results, please try to eliminate all background noise.
